RAYMOND JAMES CARES MONTH 2019
Raymond James Cares Month: an annual celebration of the desire Raymond James Ltd. employees have to give back to the communities in which they live and work.
Throughout May 2019, Cathedral branch employees had the opportunity to volunteer with organizations making a difference in the Lower Mainland such as the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, Dixon Transition Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Ronald McDonald House and more!
This year saw an inspiring turnout from Cathedral branch employees with 33 volunteers, 135 volunteer hours, two blood donations, three organ donor registrations and a number of clothing and shoe donations for Dress for Success and Ruben’s Shoes. Volunteer teams cooked breakfast for youth in need at Directions Youth Services, guided little superheroes through the neighbourhood for the YMCA’s Walk for Strong Kids and supported ONE to ONE Literacy in their mission to give every child the help they need.
Hear how Raymond James Cares Month impacts the volunteers and organizations involved:
“All of the volunteering was very meaningful and felt really good to be helping those in need. I learned a lot about the needs of those less privileged in our community.”
– Stephanie Schikkerling, Client Service Co-ordinator, Schikkerling Wealth Management Group
“RJ Cares Month is a highly awaited time for the Muir Investment Team. We love getting out of the office and working with our hands as a team, and the opportunity to impact our community in a positive way is one that we embrace with open arms.”
– Ruben Jimenez, Marketing Assistant, Muir Investment Team
"Your team was great and the families felt so loved!"
– Sarah Luong from Ronald McDonald House thanking the volunteers from Pinkowski Wealth Management
We are already looking forward to the festivities in May 2020!
